Topic 2 Blog: FAMILY

What I learned about the future and history of the Japanese life is that many of their costs are much more than their savings based upon the company that they work for. She also talked about how the birth rate is pretty high from where they are from. From the beginning of the video, it also seems like they would live a normal life just like people in the United States, such as working and being a housewife. She talks about the differences of working with company A versus working with company B. She talks about how company A works long hours and laying off the people that are in order. That’s how she went into detail about the cost and the savings. She talks about how company B fixes the lower cost, but they focus on cutting down the overtime. I think company B reminds me of a summer job, because it gives younger people the opportunity to work a job and that’s what company B as she describes it. Certain limited schedules are within company B too, so you won’t have to work long hours and that's another part that reminds me of what I did when I did a summer job, because I was able to pick my hours and the activities, I did within the summer gave me a chance. She talks about how company B is sustainable and productive in that shape. For family life she also talked about how you sometimes can’t pick up your kid because the school closes by the time you are off work, so it's a thing with the government. At home they can’t have enough time to nurture their children because both of the parents will work overtime and can’t help their kids with their homework. In the video she talked about how fighting with the government finances can be stressful. But working long hours for work, she said long hours helps them solve their social problems. I think the most important factor is her talking about the population of Japan. Their population is 23% is elderly, and it’s the highest percentage in the world. As the years go back, she talks about how Korea and China will follow up with those percentages in the future.
