Kanji

My reflection on learning kanji was more difficult than trying to learn the katakana chart and the hiragana chart. I think the more we work together and be in small groups I think it’s easier and faster to pick up on learning the kanji chart. I can tell things are starting to build up with learning about the charts and trying to talon in Japanese in full sentences. My brown is still processing by knowing what languages are. I also think it’s fun and interesting to learning these new lessons and charts because it gives you an idea on what you need to know when learning Japanese. Having to know all of the charts we been learning and doing the lessons can be helpful but forgetting. The most fun lessons that we have done is introducing ourselves and talking about our families, it was great getting to more about the numbers and who the people are in our family.

Jikoshokai: My Business Card

For my business card I like how I can learn how to write my name and other contact information, because it’s a great way to know what to do in the future. I think it’s a great exercise to have when writing Japanese, the correct way. I know when you are writing it’s a certain way to write based on the Katakana and Hiragana charts. After I do my contact information, I would love to teach others how to do theirs. I think the hardest part again is making sure it is said correctly after I get done writing out my business card and make sure I’m not missing anything.

Jikoshokai: Blog My Family / Jikoshokai: Script

Grandpa- Sofo    wa hachi ju yon si des Mom - Haha wa roku ju si des  Cousin - Etoko wa San juni si des  Big Brother - Ani wa niju si des My reflection on doing the family activity was pretty fun cause we get to talk about our families' occupations and what they do for living and discusses how old our parents and siblings are. I feel like we can go to our family and teach them what we have learned in this class and talk all about the meaning of learning these lessons. For doing plenty of these activities it’s a great exercise to know about other people's family and have them speak in Japanese so we could have a great skill set. I am down to do another activity I think it can be easy and hard to write my script introduction because I am not good at trying to come up with sentences in Japanese. It can be a little difficult trying to put in a sentence of what I need to say. I think the easy part about it is saying it rather than trying to write it. When...

Topic 2 Blog: FAMILY

What I learned about the future and history of the Japanese life is that many of their costs are much more than their savings based upon the company that they work for. She also talked about how the birth rate is pretty high from where they are from. From the beginning of the video, it also seems like they would live a normal life just like people in the United States, such as working and being a housewife. She talks about the differences of working with company A versus working with company B. She talks about how company A works long hours and laying off the people that are in order. That’s how she went into detail about the cost and the savings. She talks about how company B fixes the lower cost, but they focus on cutting down the overtime. I think company B reminds me of a summer job, because it gives younger people the opportunity to work a job and that’s what company B as she describes it. Certain limited schedules are within company B too, so you won’t have to ...

Jikoshokai Video

Doing the video introduction was more fun than trying to write the script. This is because I can get the hang of speaking my introduction in Japanese rather than trying to write it and make sure that the sentences flow a little bit better. It’s also fun and a great way to learn to speak Japanese when it is your first time speaking it, and as it being my introduction, I would like to say it in a great way so I can introduce myself well in Japanese.
